Anchor: Madison Davenport doesn't have to worry about that because you are how old?

Madison: I'm eleven.

Anchor: Alright well good. So tell us about the movie, if you are a fan, this is the most exciting part if you are an American Girl person, this is the character you play in the movie and then it has become a doll.

Madison: It has. This is Ruthie, Ruthie Smithens, and ofcourse I play Ruthie Smithens and uhm, it was really cool to be a part of the Kit Kittredge movie because my very first doll was Kit and I got her when I was four and since my hair was blond before the movie I cut my hair to look like the doll and I used to walk around with a matching outfit and everything.

Anchor: So when you were on the set and they brought all the stuff that you used to play with to life. What was that like?

Madison: Oh when Abigail walked out of the make-up trailer with her wig on and the whole costume on it was like seeing my doll come to life. I was like 'Wait I thought I left you at home..'

Anchor: *laughs* And how was Ruthie involved in the story? What does she do?

Madison: Well, Ruthie is Kit's best friend and they've been friends forever, she's kind of like Kit's psychic. Ruthie helps Kit solve mysteries and she helps her through the hardest times.

Anchor: Alright well we have a clip. This is really highly anticipated, it gets great in advance notice reviews, here's Kit Kittredge: An American Girl clip. Now did you dye your hair or wear a wig?

Madison: Uhm no they dyed my hair. It went from really light blond to really dark brown.

Anchor: Well Madison we're glad you came this morning, thanks for bringing the doll and again, the movie opens on July 2. It's really nice to meet you.
